Glamour Tips Goes on Holiday

As the Queens land Winter Carnival comes to a  close and after a most enjoyable Royal Ascot a sleep deprived Toby is in need of a holiday.

Toby will be off for a period of two months but will be back in time for the begining of Spring Racing on 2nd September, 2023.

Well at least the race caller got the jockey’s name and winning margin right. Although a lot less dramatic than Black Caviar’s win in the Diamond Jubilee a decade ago, Nature Strip stamped his authority as a world champion sprinter on Wednesday morning our time.

What a win!

Northern Pike {Take 3} and no favourites or feature last start winners in the Stradbroke

Followers of William Pike would be feeling no pain whatsoever as the Western Australian Postilion transitions into a carnival feature race winning megastar

The Stradbroke handicap has proved to be one of the most unpredictable races in the world and punters could do well to either ignore the race completely or lay the favourites, those horses at the top of the weights and last start winners of feature lead up races.

Those looking for a mid-century experience could head out to Sandown. Stare at  at the windswept seagull infested desolation and bear in mind that 65,000 people attended the inaugural meeting almost 60 years ago.
